PLACE VALUE ON PEOPLE: BISHOP DAVID ABIOYE

Value for people enhances quality of results.
If you want to improve on your result seek to improve your relationship with people.
If you protect people they will protect the organization. If you promote and project the people they will reciprocate accordingly.
How you treat them will either motivate them or demotivate them.
Value for people gives them a sense of belonging.

He Delivers

December 3, 2016
"Because he [the believer] hath set his love upon me [God], therefore will I deliver him..." (Ps. 91:14).

"I will," or "I shall" is the strongest assertion that can be made in the English language. And in the last part of Psalm 91, there are seven things this God who is more than enough says He will do for the person who has set his love upon Him. (Thank God, I've set my love upon Him - have you?)

Notice that God didn't say, "I may do it," or "If I don't run out of energy, I'll do it. If My power doesn't wane, I'll do it." No! He is the All-Sufficient One, and He said, "I will do it."

First, God said, "I will deliver them...." This God who is more than enough is a delivering God. He kept His Word with Abraham, and delivered Israel - and He's still the Deliverer today.

Our God is not the oppressor; He is the Deliverer! Acts 10:38 makes that clear. Satan is the oppressor of mankind - but Jesus is our Deliverer!

Confession: I have set my love upon God; therefore, He delivers me. He is a delivering God. And God is more than enough. He will never run out of energy. He will never run out of power. God will do all that He has said He will do. He's the All-Sufficient One, and He WILL do it!

Salvation Prayer

Have you ever made Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life?

If not, pray this prayer and start a new life in Christ.

Dear God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank You for saving me!
In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer for the first time, we would like to know.  Click here to send us an e-mail or share your testimony.

Talk Like God! Kenneth Copeland

Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mark 11:23
Jesus didn't say, "Whosoever shall speak to God about this mountain." He said we should speak directly to the mountain the desired end result.
From a worldly point of view, that sounds foolish. But 1 Corinthians 1:27 explains that God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. It's always going to sound foolish to the world when a Christian talks as if what God has promised is reality, especially when those promises seem to contradict the natural evidence around us. But if you want to keep the enemy defeated, that's the kind of talking you'd better be doing.
The Bible says God Himself talks that way! In Romans 4:17, it says, "[He] calleth those things which be not as though they were." God doesn't wait for circumstances to line up before He speaks. He causes them to line up because He speaks. You can do the same thing if you'll make your words agree with His and speak them out of your mouth by faith.
"But what if nothing happens right away?" you may ask. "What if the circumstances don't immediately change?" When Jesus spoke to the fig tree in Mark 11:14, He didn't go back and check to see if anything had happened to it. No, once He had spoken it, He considered it done.
Follow His example. Let your faith speak. Agree with God's Word!

HOW TO BOOAST YOUR COURAGE

Courage is the inner strength that enables you to stand against the odds of life with a determination to reach your goal.
Satan brings negative circumstances your way so as to discourage you; His aim is to reduce your courage in order to stop you from taking steps towards your goal in life.
Most people that are stagnated today are simply victims of discouragement.
This is why you must know how to keep boosting your courage by encouraging yourself in the Lord.
A time came in the life of David when he would have been overtaken by discouragement but he encouraged himself in the Lord; he boosted his courage.
As a result, he was strengthened to pursue the enemy and recover all that he and his men had lost (1 Samuel 30:1-18).

In Pakistan, 13 sentenced over lynching of Christian couple

Five Pakistani men were sentenced to death for the murder of a Christian couple, Shahzad Masih and his pregnant wife Shama. “I sincerely hope and wish that the decision," says Sajid Ishaq, chairman of the Pakistan Inter-faith League, "will serve as a strong preventive step against any such incident in future."

LAHORE, Pakistan – Five men in Pakistan’s Punjab province were sentenced to death last week for their leading role in the November 2014 murder of a Christian couple. Another eight were given two years in prison for their participation in the lynching.

Judge Chaudhry Muhammad Azam of Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court handed down the sentences on November 23. The guilty have also been fined approximately $1,900 (200,000 Pakistani rupees).
On November 4, 2014, Shahzad Masih and his wife Shama, who was pregnant with the couple’s fourth child, were attacked by a lynch mob and their bodies burned after they were accused of desecrating the Quran. The couple lived in Kot Radha Kishan, a city located nearly 40 miles southwest of Lahore.

The couple worked at a brick kiln, and it has been reported that the kiln owner noticed Shama – who was illiterate – burning some belongings of her recently-deceased father-in-law, and charged that some pages she burnt were from the Quran – he then detained them. They owed him money, and he refused to release them without being paid.

It was then announced from local mosques that the couple had desecrated the Quran, and a mob forced their way into the room where the Masihs were held, and beat them with bricks and shovels. Reports vary as to whether or not the couple’s bodies were thrown into the kiln before or after their deaths.
According to Dawn, a Pakistani English-language daily, the Anti-Terrorism Court heard that the five men given the death penalty “gathered a large mob of hundreds by making announcements over a mosque loudspeaker and incited them to violence with incendiary speech.”

Riaz Anjum, the lawyer representing the Masih family, told AFP that according to the judgement, “the five people awarded the death sentence were involved in dragging, beating and burning the couple while the other eight played a supportive role.”

The chairman of the Pakistan Inter-faith League, Sajid Ishaq, told The News International that the guilty verdict has “revived [Christians’] confidence in the supremacy of judiciary and enhanced their faith in fair and free investigations conducted in this case. I would not say I support the death sentence but I would say that such a decision has become essential to prevent violence in the society amidst prevailing conditions in our country.”

He added that “the crime was so gruesome that it plunged the whole Christian community in a shock.”
“I sincerely hope and wish that the decision by the ATC in ‘Sajjad and Shama’ lynching case will serve as a strong preventive step against any such incident in future. The minority communities of our country will indeed feel reassured and will draw a sense of protection from this decision,” Ishaq concluded.

In total, 103 people had been charged in the lynching case, according to Anjum. But 90, including the owner of the brick kiln, were acquitted.
Pakistan’s state religion is Islam, and around 97 percent of the population is Muslim. The nation has adopted blasphemy laws which impose strict punishment on those who desecrate the Quran or who defame or insult Muhammad.

The blasphemy laws are said to be used often to settle scores or to persecute religious minorities; while non-Muslims constitute only three percent of the Pakistani population, 14 percent of blasphemy cases have been levied against them.
Many of those accused of blasphemy are murdered, and advocates of changing the law are also targeted by violence.

Christians should not fear speaking about their faith at work and in public places, Theresa May says

Christians should not be afraid of of speaking "freely" about their faith at work and in public places, Theresa May has said.
The Prime Minister said people should be able to celebrate Christmas as she endorsed a report which said that Christianity should be "celebrated, not denigrated".
The report says that many employers will have "little problem" with Christians discussing their faith at work "in the same way you might talk about sport, hobbies and family life".

Mrs May's intervention came after David Isaac, chairman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, warned that over-anxious employers are failing to celebrate Christmas for fear of offending other staff.
The Prime Minister, who is the daughter of a vicar, said that Christians should "jealously guard" their right to speak out about their faith as she endorsed a report by the Evangelical Alliance and the Lawyers Christian Fellowship
She said: "You raise an important issue that matters to both you and me, and I think that the phrase that was used by the Lawyers Christian Fellowship was 'the jealously guarded principle' of that ability to speak freely, as you say respectfully and responsibly, about one's religion.
"I'm happy to welcome the publication of this report and its finding. "Of course we are now into the season of Advent, and we have a very strong tradition in this country of religious tolerance and freedom of speech and our Christian heritage is something we can all be proud of.
"I'm sure that we would all want to ensure that people at work do feel able to speak about their faith, and also be able to speak quite freely about Christmas."
The report warns that society is forgetting "that its many freedoms derive from centuries of applying the Bible to public life".
It says: "Although these liberties have been hard-won, however, they can also be easily lost. If not attended to, they will wither away.
"Like a muscle, without exercise they will atrophy. The Bible tells us that we grow as we give, and the truth about our gospel freedoms is that ‘if we don’t use them we’ll lose them’.
"The lost need the gospel, so we need to be intentional about sharing it.
"We hope that this resource will inform followers of Christ about the freedoms we have to do this, and encourage confident and fruitful evangelism in every area of public life. Freedom, in every sense of the word, depends on it. So let’s speak up."
The report says that employees should look for the "opportunities" to "spread the gospel" as long as they do so in a "respectful" manner and do not "brow-beat" colleagues.
It says: "Religious beliefs have protection that other beliefs do not. If you are expressing an opinion that is informed by your Christian beliefs, you have greater legal protection than if it is simply expressed as your opinion on a topic.
"This is, therefore, a good reason not to be shy about stating how your faith informs your opinions."
It adds: "[Christians should] foster a culture of conversation about faith. The more such discussions are commonplace, the less it will be felt to be ‘wrong’. Ongoing natural discussions are better than forced, isolated occasions."
The document also suggests that Twitter, Facebook and other forms of social media present a "wonderful opportunity for getting the good news of Jesus Christ out to a vast audience at little cost". It comes after Theresa May, a practicing member of the Church of England, said that Christianity "lies behind what I do".
